Tabatha : lansing area children’s photography

Adorable and so much fun!  I know I always say that after a session…but it is true!  How can you not help but smile on the inside & out after just looking at this adorable little girl.  Tabby had me smiling her entire session:)

Tabby is 2 and she has some of the best facial expressions EVER!  The “Mick Jaggar” pout was fantastic.  Mom said this is something she does all the time at home too. Then there was the “what do papa’s say on the bus?” face…we were singing the wheels on the bus song.  Tabby then proceeded to put her lips together & make a funny noise (see the 3rd image below).  And my all time favorite moment of the session was at the very end when mom asked Tabby where her daddy was.  Tabby replied in the most perfect 2-year old mixed up letter sweet little voice “Afgenatanta”…not even sure how you would spell her interpretation of “Afghanistan” but oh my goodness was it the most adorable thing ever!!!

So here are just a few of my personal favorites from Tabatha’s session!

Mom & Tabatha it was wonderful to meet both you!  I had a blast photographing your beautiful daughter!  We captured so many beautiful images and great expressions!!  I will have the entire gallery of her images ready to view later this weekend!  M

Allie & Sissy: lansing area children’s photography

So much fun!  These sisters were adorable…the sweet curls, adorable smiles & just FUN!  It has been 3 years since I have seen Allie & Sissy and they have both grown up so much. We started their session photographing a few Shirley Temple inspired  images of Sissy (I will post these soon)…she had her curls & was ready to pose!  A little sassy & so cute:) Then we photographed together for some great sister pics before Allie had her turn to shine.  And yes she did:) Here are just a few of my favorites from their session!

Thanks Mom & Dad for the fun morning with your adorable little ladies!  Great to see all of you!  Will be in touch soon once your gallery is up & ready to view!  Keep watching for a few of the Shirley Temple inspired images too!  M

FUN!  What a blast it was to see Maya & her mom last week for a “play” date:) This little girl just cracks me up…I had so much fun with her…I could have played all day!  Which I am sure she would have been totally hip too since she was ITCHING to get into my daughters (very messy) playroom just behind a closed door in the studio.  Of course we let her check things out once her session was over:)

Maya is 4 years old and was so chatty.  She told me all about her bunny & giraffe that came with her.  She sang me a few songs including “If I only had a brain” from The Wizard of OZ.  It could not get any cuter than that!! And I was so lucky that I got TWO HUGS….that will melt you right there!

Here are just a few of my favorite images from her session!

Thank you Maya (and her mom) for coming over to “play” for a little while.  We will have to do that again soon:) M

Thank you!

A BIG thank you to all of my awesome clients that made it possible for Heartlight Photography to donate $260.00 to the Greater Lansing Food Bank this year!  WOO HOO!! During the month of October, Heartlight Photography donated $20.00 from each session fee to this wonderful organization.  Today I took my daughters with me to make the donation!  Thank you to Joe Wald & Alex Bryan for taking a few pics with me for my blog:)And also to my daughter Sara for being the photographer today!

Jerry & Tessa: Lansing area children’s photography

I have know these two adorable kiddos since they were born….and their mom happens to be a very good friend too….so needless to say this session was a blast!  Relaxed, fun & silly….oh and the kids had fun too!  Another beautiful day (we had a lot of those this fall in mid-Michigan) and here are just a few of my favorites from the day!  I still laugh when I look at the picture of them touching each others noses…I was playing “Simon Says” with the kids & when I said “touch your nose” they both went to touch the other ones nose.  Cracks me up!

So much fun!!  Loved seeing all of you…doesn’t happen often enough these days:) Talk with you again soon!  Melissa
